Weddings

There are many pressures on human relationships these days. When couples are planning to be married at St. Andrew's, we stand with them before the complexities of building a sustainable, joyful marriage. And we offer wedding ceremonies that draw from the best of a long tradition of Christian weddings, while allowing scope for the couple's own creativity as well. We welcome your inquiries about weddings. (To allow adequate time for planning, it's wise to talk to us several months before your proposed wedding day.)

St. Andrew's is pleased to offer services of Christian Marriage to all couples regardless of sexual orientation.

To be married at St. Andrew's, you first contact the Church Office (403-259-4080) to tentatively book the date and time. You then pay a $75 deposit to guarantee your date and time, and meet with one of the ministers for an initial interview. Your wedding booking is confirmed at this interview. At that interview you also discuss what form of Marriage Preparation will be helpful for you (some form of Marriage Preparation is required by St. Andrew's), and you begin planning the details of the wedding service.

There is no membership requirement for getting married at St. Andrew's, but there is a requirement of Marriage Preparation, and there is a fee, which you should discuss when you call the Church Office. (For members of Supporting Families of St. Andrew's, some fees and the deposit requirement are waived.) St. Andrew's ministers officiate at weddings at St. Andrew's.
